Contributing

RE:GINE follows an Offensive Programming philosophy: fail loud, no defensive guards against invariants validated upstream, no backward-compat shims, no dead code.

• Commits follow Conventional Commits, versions follow SemVer 2.0.0 strictly, the changelog follows Keep a Changelog.
• Python and TypeScript style guides live at the root of the repository (STYLE_PYTHON.md, STYLE_TYPESCRIPT.md).
• See CONTRIBUTING.md before opening a PR.

Retaking the screenshots

The screenshots of this site and of the README come from an isolated demo stack filled with fictional data — no real job is involved:

It builds a separate compose project (gine-demo) on loopback ports 13000 / 18080, seeds it with tools/demo-seed/seed.py, drives it with Playwright and rewrites frontend/public/screenshots/*-{dark,light}.png. The docs site copies those files at build time (npm run sync-screenshots, run automatically by npm run dev and by the docs workflow) and references them under /gine/screenshots/.
